Your Privacy Matters
Between Us is built on the principle that your relationship data is deeply personal. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting the information you share with us.
What We Collect
- Account information: Your email address, display name, and authentication credentials.
- Assessment responses: Your answers to relationship assessment questions, used to generate your personal reports.
- Conversation uploads: If you choose Conversation Insights, the chat file you upload, your speaker selections, and your privacy/redaction settings.
- Reports and structured insights: AI-generated report content, confidence labels, pattern summaries, and related product records.
- Community posts: Content you voluntarily share in the community feed.
- Payment information: Processed securely through Stripe. We never store your credit card details.
Individual Privacy Between Partners
Your individual assessment answers are not shown to another user. If partner-linked features are introduced, each person must use their own account and consent before their information is compared. Honest answers require privacy.
How We Use Your Data
- To generate personal relationship reports and Conversation Insights based on information you choose to provide.
- To run safety and sufficiency checks before generating an AI report.
- To provide account, billing, support, notification, and product reliability features.
- To send important notifications about your account and assessments.
Conversation Insights
Conversation Insights is optional. If you upload a conversation, the raw file is stored so we can preview it, apply your redaction settings, generate the report you request, and let you revisit the supporting exchanges behind it. Raw uploads are retained for up to 30 days and then automatically deleted. Declined safety/sufficiency previews are deleted right away, and you can delete an upload (and its report) at any time. The structured report may remain in your account until you delete it.
AI analysis may be processed by service providers we use to operate Between Us. Between Us does not sell your relationship data, and we do not train Between Us models on raw conversation uploads.
Data Security
We use secure authentication, encrypted connections, access controls, and managed database/storage providers to protect your information. No system is perfect, but we design the product to collect and retain as little sensitive raw data as possible.
Data Deletion
You can delete individual Conversation Insights reports from the Conversation Insights page. For account deletion or broader data requests, contact support and we will help remove your account data, subject to limited records we may need to keep for billing, security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
